Sara Lynn Evans, born on February 5 1971 at New Franklin Missouri was raised as the oldest of seven siblings. Sara Lynn Evans has been performing in the family band since she was five years old. When she was sixteen, she worked for two whole years at an evening club in Columbia Missouri. In 1991, Sara moved to Nashville Tennessee with the intention to become a country artist. Songwriter Harlan Howard heard Sara as she performed a sample of one of his tracks Tiger By the Tail at County Q Studios and decided that she would sing the music of Harlan Howard. She went under contract with RCA. Evans came out with Three Chords and the Truth as her debut studio album in 1997. The album was praised by critics for making a return to traditional country, and included it on a number of their top 10 list of the year. She returned to Hollywood a few years later to pursue an Hollywood career. Goodfellas was one of her best-selling Hollywood film. In recognition of this film she was awarded a number of significant awards including the Academy Award.
